Smaken av Frankrike

Two Frenchmen hidden in Norwegian bodies

Elisabeth
Morten

Over a combined 18 years in Languedoc, friends and acquaintances kept asking us the same question: «Why don't you organise trips for others?» We laughed a little and replied «not quite the right time for that». But the idea stuck – and the desire to share this place grew stronger than we could ignore.

Elisabeth is a teacher by background, a tour leader and a cook in practice. She remembers what everyone wants in their glass without asking twice, and has a natural gift for gathering people around a table in a way that helps them relax, laugh and feel they are exactly where they should be. With Elisabeth, no guest is left to fend for themselves.

Morten also works with wine and has come to know the region the way only those who have truly let themselves be absorbed by a place can. With Languedoc as his home ground, he knows the producers by name, which cellar hides the vintages nobody knows about, and which restaurant in which village serves the best meal on a Tuesday in May. He brings that knowledge with him – and shares it gladly.

Together we offer something few travel organisers can: genuine access. Not guided tours behind a rope, but conversations around the producers' own tables and experiences that happen because we know the people behind them.

The best trips are not about seeing as much as possible. They are about coming home with a feeling that you were truly somewhere.

Live like a local. Be treated like a guest.
